What is dynamic DNS?
Dynamic DNS keeps a name pointed at a host whose address changes, by letting the host update its own record.
The host authenticates against an update address and sets its current IP. The record carries a short TTL so the change is visible quickly.
Typical uses are home offices, routers, cameras and mobile gateways — anything on a connection without a fixed address.
The update token should be scoped to the one record it may change, never to the whole zone.
At CTPFDNS this is planned; today the same effect can be achieved through the API with a token limited to a single record.
